GreenSET Consortium Holds Successful Steering Committee Meeting in Nice

01/12/2025

The GreenSET consortium has successfully concluded its Second Steering Committee Meeting (SCOM2), held from 4 to 6 November in Nice, France. Representatives from all partner organisations gathered to assess progress and coordinate the next stages in developing the MED Sustainable Service Innovation Methodology (MEDSSIM).

During the three-day meeting, partners reported strong advancements in the creation of the MEDSSIM Competence Pack and Implementation Toolbox, both of which are expected to be finalised ahead of the first pilot activities scheduled for February 2026. The consortium also agreed on the structure and rollout plan for the MEDSSIM training course tailored to experts from business support organisations, including technology parks, regional development agencies, and innovation hubs.

A key focus of the discussions was the upcoming open call for SMEs that will participate in the initial pilot phase. Partners aligned on eligibility criteria, evaluation procedures, and ways to incorporate circular economy principles into the call. Updates were also shared on the development of the MEDSSIM certification scheme, which will feature a peer-to-peer assessment approach to encourage long-term adoption beyond the project’s duration.

The meeting additionally covered project management and communication topics, including the approval of the communication strategy, key performance indicators, and plans to produce the project’s first animated video.

The next Steering Committee Meeting (SCOM3) is set to take place in Heraklion, Crete, in spring 2026.
